UBER

Your Safety Drives Us
The Challenge

Uber was weeks away from releasing their Transparency Report to the world when they came to OBERLAND. This report would disclose the many incidents that had taken place on the Uber platform, and they needed to tell their safety story to offset the anticipated negative press around the incidents in the report. In less than 30 days, we wrote, shot and edited more than 100 videos showcasing six safety features which will help protect riders and drivers moving forward.

The Solution

Your safety drives us.

The results

The work received positive PR for Uber and garnered coverage on USA Today, Wired.com and was mentioned on The Pivot podcast (New York Magazine), by Scott Galloway and Kara Swisher on their “Thought Leadership of the Year” episode.

Safety Work Preroll

UBER + NO MORE

To supplement Uber’s Safety work – we helped launch their partnership with No More, a non-profit committed to preventing sexual assault be enabling bystanders to Stand Up. The idea that fueled this campaign was: Stand Up, Don’t Stand By. The campaign launched in Las Vegas and Los Angeles and soon scaled globally.

“It is rare to find an agency that can do breakthrough creative work that can also help raise awareness and change behaviors around complicated societal issues. OBERLAND does it with ease. Due to the strong work on this first campaign together, we are excited to bring OBERLAND on to help drive Uber's safety brand narrative strategy.”
